OUR MISSION
The Christ Child Society of Phoenix is dedicated to serving children in need, in the name of the Christ Child.
WHAT WE DO
The Christ Child Society of Phoenix, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is one of over 45 Chapters in the United States. Locally, nearly 150 dedicated volunteers address the needs of under-served children in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Nationally, the Christ Child Society have served children for over 130 years with a membership of over 6,000.
By seeing a need and filling it, the spirited membership believes that no child should have to worry about the simplest of life's necessities. The Christ Child Society of Phoenix members follow wholeheartedly the mission of the Christ Child founder Mary Virginia Merrick as she proclaimed "...that nothing is ever too much to do for a child."
Therefore, we joyfully:
· Distribute layettes to needy mothers of newborns
· Distribute Bedtime Bags and Teddy Bears to children in crisis
· Promote the love of reading to children in economically challenged grade schools
· Distribute Comfort Quilts to children in pregnancy centers, hospitals, and shelters
· Provide clothing and Christmas Gifts for foster and adopted children.
While our work is never done, we know there is no limit to what can be done for children in the name of Love.
